The Berry Hill Plantation Resort, a revived and transformed 19th century tobacco plantation, carries a historic air with southern hospitality to the countryside of South Boston, Va. Downtown South Boston, just a mile away, has a tree lined main street with vibrant community shops and services.
The Berry Hill Plantation Resort opened in June 2005, restored to its original grandeur with modern updates and amenities. The resort's two story Greco Revival mansion impresses with a grand colonnade front porch. The mansion hosts the resort's exquisite fine dining restaurant, serving regional favorites with locally grown ingredients, including vegetables from the plantation's own garden. The resort's Blackberry Spa offers guests tranquil wraps, treatments and massages. The property has an engaging array of outdoor activities, such as tennis courts, indoor pool and sauna, and horseback riding. Two golf courses are located nearby.
The resort's 96 guestrooms are furnished with the plantation image in mind, including Italian canopy beds on polished hardwood floors. Bathrooms offer towel warmers and cotton bathrobes. High speed wireless and wired Internet access is available in all rooms, and guestroom televisions offer cable channels.
