Location. The Kahler Grand is a deluxe hotel located in the center of Rochester, Minn., and 10 miles from the Rochester International Airport. This hotel is connected to the Mayo Clinic Complex which is accessible via a pedestrian skyway and a subway system.
Hotel Features. Built in 1921, Tudor gothic architecture complements the interior decoration of the Kahler Grand hotel where cathedral arches and cornices, crystal chandeliers, damask draperies and Wilton rugs welcome guests. The hotel's Lord Essex Fine Dining and Pub showcases meat and pasta selections served before a grand fireplace, while Grand Grill is open daily, hosts Sunday brunch and accommodates special dietary requests. A Starbucks is located on the lobby level.
Indulging spa experiences at Healing Touch Health Spa feature customized, results oriented treatments that include aromatherapy and medical massage. A recreation center offers a game room, spa tub and sauna, the focal point of which is a sky lit pool encased beneath a glass dome located on the hotel's roof. A fitness center with universal gym and upgraded cardiovascular equipment are also on site. Home to the city's largest event facility, 25,000 square feet of the hotel include 14 versatile meeting rooms. High speed Internet access is available and a business center is open 24 hours.
Guestrooms. The 10 floor Kahler Grand features 708 guestrooms and plush suites. Standard accommodations include cherry wood furnishings and premium bedding, while private bathrooms feature complimentary toiletries and coffeemakers. Guestrooms include cable television and Internet access.
Expert Tip. More than 15 restaurant venues are located within the Kahler Complex, each sporting unique themes and many serving three meals daily. Guests have access to over 60 novelty shops and services, including coffee houses, fashion boutiques and hair galleries, all under one roof.
