The Dom Carlos is a modern hotel situated in the economic and business district of the city centre, one and a half kilometres from the old town. The 76 air conditioned guestrooms are spread over eight floors and have modern decor in light colours with dark wood furniture. All guestrooms include satellite television, minibars, direct dial phones, high speed Internet connections, and bathrooms with hair dryers.
Guests can browse the daily newspapers in the lounge, which has a library, plasma screen television, and wireless Internet. Self service drinks, snacks and light meals are also available in the lounge, which doubles as a restaurant at breakfast time. Those arriving by car will find garage parking (surcharge), and the hotel has a lift. Multilingual staff are on hand at the 24 hour front desk to assist guests and advise on local amenities and attractions. Visitors to the city are well placed to explore the many places of interest, with the Pombal circus 40 metres away, the theatre one kilometre away and the attractions of the old town one and a half kilometres away. Lisbon International Airport is five kilometres from the hotel, approximately 20 minutes by car.

The Carris AeroBus number 91 departs every 20 minutes to the city centre and to the Cais do Sodr� railway station (journey time is about 20 minutes). Tickets can be purchased on board. Taxis are available from the airport and a typical fare will cost 12 EUR. The hotel is situated next door to a metro station.
Driving directions: From the airport follow signs for Segunda Circular Highway. Take the exit to Campo Grande and follow Avenida Republica towards Saldanha Square. Take the Fontes Pereira de Melo Avenue towards the Marques de Pombal Circus. On the roundabout take the fourth exit and the Dom Carlos will be on the right.
