Just one hour from the bustling metropolis of Canc�n, the Riu Palace Mexico All Inclusive Hotel is located in Playa del Carmen, a peaceful haven of Mexican charm on the Yucatan Peninsula. The hotel is on the edge of a magnificent white sandy beach, with crystal clear turquoise waters and a coral reef, with a complete underwater world waiting to be discovered by scuba diving enthusiasts. Ancient archeological cities are close by, and travelers can take a nearby ferry to discover the island of Cozumel.
The two story Riu Palace Mexico is surrounded by 20,000 square meters of lush tropical gardens and walkways just a few steps from the beach. Guests need never stray from the many restaurants, beach and pool activities and luxurious guestrooms. The children's pool and playground area is ideal for families with small children. Other amenities include two pools and swim up bar, beach restaurants, and health spa with jetted tubs, sauna, fitness center, body and facial treatments and massage.
Guests can taste a variety of drinks and cuisines at the hotel's terraced lobby bars and restaurants. An Internet room is available, and a gift shop sells newspapers.
The 434 guestrooms and suites, furnished in classical European style, are all air conditioned, with separate bathrooms equipped with ceiling fans, minibars, satellite television, and balconies or terraces. The suites, with Mexican style alcoves, have living room areas, walk in dressing rooms and whirlpool tubs.
