The Lefkoniko Bay is a modern apart hotel with a multi coloured fa�ade, 30 metres from the beach and promenade, and 500 metres from central Rethymnon. The 68 air conditioned apartments are decorated in pastel colours with red wood furnishings. All include cable television, direct dial phones, hair dryers, safes and sofabeds. The hotel is well placed to explore the surrounding area; Rethymnon's old town and fortress are 500 metres away, the Arkadi Monastery 30 kilometres away, and the Spilli Fountains are 39 kilometres distant. The hotel is located 75 kilometres from Heraklion International Airport, a 90 minute drive.

Taxis and buses can be found right outside the airport. Typical taxi fare to hotel will be around 60 EUR. The best way to get around Crete is by rental car or bike, although buses go to most places throughout the island. The Cretan bus company KTEL has stations in all the larger cities and stops all along the routes. Many locations are also accessible by ferry and boat taxi. Taxis in Crete are reasonable but visitors should make sure the driver uses the meter.
