Location. Hotel Hofwirt is situated in the centre of Salzburg, Austria, next to the Linzer Gasse pedestrian area and 500 metres from Mirabell Castle and Gardens. Salzburg's main station is two kilometres from Hotel Hofwirt.
Hotel Features. Hotel Hofwirt is housed in a traditional, bright building on the corner of a tree lined avenue. The air conditioned lobby offers a cool and contemporary setting with lime green sofas and charcoal tiled floors. There is free parking nearby.

From Salzburg Airport W A Mozart (SZG):
Distance to Hotel Hofwirt is 6 kilometres (8 miles), approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The number 2 bus runs between the airport and Salzburg's main train station every 10 minutes. The station is 2 kilometres from Hotel Hofwirt. Single tickets cost 1.80 EUR. There are buses to Bavaria and Tyrol. Taxis to Hotel Hofwirt cost about 12 14 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Salzburg's city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by an inexpensive tram and bus system, and there are numerous cycle paths. Driving is not advised for visitors, and cars are not allowed in some areas of the Old Town.
Driving directions. From the airport: Take Autobahn 1 in the direction of Vienna.
After 5 minutes take the Salzburg Nord exit.
This will take you onto Vogelweider Strasse.
At the end of this street turn right onto Schallmooser Hauptstrasse.
