The Great Keppel Island Resort is located on the island just north of the Tropic of Capricorn. Along the Coral Sea on the Australian coast, the hotel is ringed by 28 kilometers of beaches and bays. The beginning point of several bushwalks lies less than 60 meters from the resort's water sports hut.
Dining options include Keppel's Restaurant that overlooks the main beach and serves buffet style meals. The Reef Takeaway offers sandwiches and light fare, while the Sunset Bar overlooks the Capricorn Coast. Peanut Pool Bar offers drink service at the outdoor pool. Recreational amenities include five palm fringed outdoor pools including a children's pool and a spa tub. Available water sports include kayaking, windsurfing and sailing.

Renovation Notice:
Effective February 1, 2008, the resort will undergo renovations. The estimated completion date is August 2008. Work will be done in stages. However, the entire resort will be affected at some stage of the renovation.
